What an exciting time to be a Democrat! All of you helped change the future of our country by everything that you have done in the past months and weeks. Whether you made a phone call, knocked on a door, went to a rally, or worked on Election Day--everything you did made all the difference!
Democrats are now the primary voting party in many parts of Upper Darby Township, and we showed it at the polls on November 4. We elected Barack Obama President, and re-elected Joe Sestak to Congress. Just as we have changed the direction of the nation, if you continue to work with us we can change the direction of Delaware County and Upper Darby Township. In case you did not know it, ALL the elected township officials in Upper Darby are from the Republican Party. There is only 1 school board member that was elected as a Democrat in 2007--Pamela Maven. In 2009 we have a chance to change that and elect more Democratic school board members. We also have the chance in 2009 to elect Democratic council members in Upper Darby Township.

Please stay involved in the process, the Upper Darby Democratic Party needs you! We had many volunteers for Election Day from the Kevin Lee, Joe Sestak and Barack Obama teams, and many friends and neighbors of Upper Darby. All of you that worked on Election Day saw the numbers of the opposing party that they have working for them. We are now in a position to build our volunteer ranks, and you are the new faces of Upper Darby.
